In a time where each kilobyte in RAM was a luxury, Microsoft's Extended BASIC for the 12kB Altairs must have been a blast. Some of its commands would take a long time to be implemented in newer microcomputers which used [[..:ms80basic|Microsoft BASIC-80]]-derived interpreters.
